Lets see how long it takes for Chester to get a job in International RL and another SL job and we can then compare.

Im just struggling to see why such as yourself seem to want WP over a proven coach like Anderson. I like WP, I think hes a nice fella, and has skill, BUT In the time he was at Hudds he never stood out, was pretty anonymous in the background and he never took on much responsibility or took control of anything, compared to Robbo who on paper was less experienced but was often spokesperson and took on a more leading role.

Are you on his payroll?

How good do you think Anderson is and if he's such a good SL coach, would you want him back at Huddersfield ?

As for WP, he's been assistant at some top clubs and worked under some of the best SL coaches, should he stay as an assistant infinitum.
He's done better at Trinity in a few short weeks than Chester has managed for the last 3+ seasons and better than your own coach in terms of current win ratio.
IF he could replicate that form for a full season, Trinity would be 4th in the league

Why would an outsider change anything around any more than WP, sorry but at times you just don’t make sense to me. WP has been with us a year, he’s hardly embedded in the culture of the club is he. Virtually all his managerial experience comes from his time spent at other clubs.

He’s as likely to shake the club up as anyone else.

Truth is it wouldn’t matter who the club appointed I don’t think you’d be happy.

If he gets the job it’s a clean slate as it would be for anyone else.

Truth is you know jack s###t about me as i keep proving.

And as for my comment it does make sense you just dont want it to

Enjoy watching the score flash up on tele tonight as i guess with your lack of knowledge you dont attend games

Silly defensive post. It was a fair question, why do you think an 'outsider' will do any better when you don't. As for a lack of knowledge, how can you have knowledge about something that hasn't even happened yet? WP hasn't got the job yet, all he's done so far is be a caretaker coach, he's had very little chance to do any kind of team rebuilding.

What is true is that he's done far better than we could have expected in the roll. This being the obvious case why is the grass always greener elsewhere in your world. Sorry if that's not what you mean but it's how it comes across.

I'll be there tonight, shouting the lads on with little complaint so long as they are doing their best.

First of all I'm not assuming anything as I have no interest at all in Paul Anderson, his name came up in the context of your post, but seeing as you seem to have taken on the role of spokesman and agent for the aforesaid are you then saying that he no longer has the ambition to succeed in the game, as for Chester, he has now gone and comparisons are totally unnecessary with any coach unconnected to our club, lets face it you've had one or two failures yourself, maybe you'd like to throw they're names into the hat.

It's noticeable that you struggle to come to terms with anything Wakefield which you have confirmed on quite a few occasions, so it's no surprise with your preference for Anderson, and as for your mate Robbo maybe it's his gob what got him more responsibility with the shudds hierarchy over the quietly spoken Poaching, oh and as for me seemingly wanting him over a proven coach like Anderson, I don't remember saying I wanted anybody, as a matter of fact all I really want is for the club to make the right choice, choose who it is. HTH.

It may come as a shock to you but we are all allowed our own opinions it doesnt make them right and it doesnt make them wrong. Individuals dont have to agree with your opinions.for what its worth wp as done a decent job but most new coaches in wp postion do ok you only have to look at t smith and webster as an example.in my (and others too which you appear to ignore)i think this could be a case with wp and my opinion the club would be better served bringing fresh faces in not just as head coach but all 1st team coaching.this msy be better this may be worse as you rigjtly say we will never know as only 1 option will happen.this doesnt make me any less of a fan than you or anyone else or more of a fan for that matter. And when wp gets the job i wont be disgruntled ill be happy for him still purchasing a ST and supporting the team and club.

Regarding the lack of knowledge its the constant crap you accuse me of like i made summet up or heard in chippie etc as i always say you know nothing about me.

Anyway hope you enjoy/enjoyed the game

Poaching's win ratio now 71.4%
It still only has us 4th in the table, not as league leaders though

Think WP will be appointed, and why not.
The only blot on his application wold be away defeat against the bottom club.
Its totally baffling tome why the same players couldn't provide the same results under Chester.
I hope WP stands up and becomes a top coach and can provide Trinity with some long overdue success.
8 also hope the club can support him to the full.

Is it a blot? Truly great teams have lost to Trinity when we were the resident caller dwellers only to go on and win SL.

I really don’t get the fuss about the Leigh game, it’s not like they trounced us. They had a good day, is not so much, happens to all teams.

What matters is how you bounce back, in which case job done and point proved imho :D

If I had an issue and I don’t really, is not the Leigh game but last nights. We did switch off for 20 mins in the second half and that needs to stop. It was never going to be fatal last night but could be in big games next year.

One last thing, I’ve not given much credibility to the Miller rumour but I got the feeling last night that his was either a farewell performance or an I’ve just signed up for the rest of my career effort, couldn’t make it out.

Yes, I would happily have him back at Huddersfield. Knowing a person who has worked on the support side at giants for some time, who has seen coaches come and go the reports were Anderson has a big attention to detail, works hard, is very well organised and expects professionalism from his players.
WP has won a handful of games when the team has more of less picked itself. And there was no pressure in terms of wins or losses meaning anything. Let’s see what happens when he has 16 players unavailable and his spine decimated. Let’s see if he is able to build anything or is just adept at dealing with what he has.
WP could turn out to be a charm. It’s a risk- but a cheap one.
