Left my jacket on the bus out from the town and the top tier of the North stand got no sun and was freezing - had to buy a jacket at the Murrayfield shop to keep warm.

Sorry to be a killjoy but going to Wales or Scotland for a local derby just does not interest me in the slightest, I could not sit through 7 matches where only 1 involved my team.

I totally disagree with the concept and if I am honest the stadium on TV looked empty for all the games not sure myself whether this is a way forward, with London France and Wales as away trips I prefer to go to such ocassions when something is at stake I would imagine the atmosphere at Doncaster last year for the semi was far superior to Murrayfield. Not my cup of tea I am afraid.

Travelled in large numbers... Yes

Got behind the team.... a big no no!!

The atmosphere for the Wakefield game was a bad as a game at Belle Vue! They was no noise from the Wakeyfield fans apart from the small contingent (Well small number of large balding folk) in the back corner! Very disappointing! Why travel all that way, sit through 2 games where you have little interest and not make a sound when the game of great interest comes on apart from the odd polite clap when we score a try?!?!!? Is it becuase everyone was too busy eating there prawn sandwiches?

Anyway... Enough about that...

Was a tad disappointed with Edinbrugh aswell, nowhere to take kids outside www.the MEERCAT.com. Supposed to be a family event but was difficult to get the kids involved in many things, a lot of walking inbetween Stadium and places of interest.... Blah blah, bring back Cardiff!!

They were selling RL merchandise in the Murrayfield shop. The new England ( ) RL shirts, Magic Weekend T-shirts and fortunately Engage Super League jackets.

Just got back after 2 nights staying in the centre and you wouldn't know there was a tournament as there was zero advertising. Did the Scots do any better than the Welshies as I thought that was one of the reasons it left Cardiff. I don't think so.

I doubt we will go back next year, the atmosphere in Cardiff was alot better due to the stadiums location and the roof keeping in the noise.

Did anyone else have the gravy in the stadium? i have never tasted anything so vile in my life.

it looked really poor on the TV, empty stadiums are not a good advert for rugby league. I know lots of people who stayed at home due to the magic weekend moving to Scotland.

Cardiff was gaining a great reputation and the derby games worked better. I would like to know how many tickets were sold to the non rugby league scottish people, i estimate 5% which to me seems to be another pointless expansion of the game. Wales this year would have been great with the inception of Celtic Crusaders and i am sure a Cardiff event would have attracted over 80,000 fans

That was disappointing, seemed very few (if any)of the locals new about the Magic Weekend. Got a taxi Saturday night and the driver knew nothing about it and you would expect a local cabbie to know what was happening. Overheard one local tell another that he thought it was the Cup Final

I have to say I was very disappointed with the whole event in Edinburgh.....however I don't know whether that was because of our result and hotel.

We were 20 miles out of Edinburgh staying in Falkirk, the two pubs nearby closed at 10.30pm and 11pm.

I can't quite believe how quiet all the Wakey fans were......come on guys, where were all the voices???? Normally at away games we raise the roof and have a laugh - totally gutted.

Was it the fact we played poorly or the fact that cheap crap lager was £3.50 a go?

Far too expensive, nothing near the stadium etc etc and the attendances prove that.

I'd love it to be in Cardiff again next year but that is never gonna happen.....may save my money and make a bit of a holiday in Catalans instead.

Shame really.

Anybody have a really good experience?
