The following is copy of email I have sent to rfl, to be honest not expecting anything other than a shrug of the shoulders and a standard crap response.
I write to register my complaint at the way the club I support is being treated by the rfl in particular the challenge cup.
As you will be aware we have the home draw against Pia, may I say at this stage I believe the inclusion of french teams in this competition to be good.
However we have been told the game must be played on the saturday and not as we normally play on a sunday.
My understanding is that this is an open draw so I dont see for one minute Pia get preference over the home team.
Can someone kindly explain the process and rationale regarding this, whilst the club can complain it appears that Pia have already booked the return flights home for the saturday so this begs the question were the rfl aware of this even though an appeal was likely therfore the decision of the appeal decided in advance.
I think this is an appalling state of affairs where the rfl dictate to the home team a date change without full and proper discussion prior to anything being agreed.
I look forward to receiving a detailed response to the points mentioned well in advance of the game being played.
Regards
Peter Kelly
