On a coaching course, you do both. I fail to see why two retiring players should have to explain themselves for furthering their career post playing.

No staff or players should be missing games for training courses. They should be booking it when there is no game IMO.

If we had won at North Wales we would have being in a great postion now instead were in danger of dropping out top 2.

Just an minute 'HT', who is paying them and for what?

As far as I understand, they are being paid by the Cougars and to coach and play for the Cougars.

Playing for the Cougars in a critical game or to further themselves after they have retired? That is the question.

I am confused.

When I worked I was not allowed to develop my skills for my retirement whilst still being paid by my then current employers, so why should two essential squad members (one of whom is our First Team coach) be permitted to attend a course when they were needed for this critical game?

Is the Club serious about wanting promotion as much as their supporters?

I look forward to reading your justification for their absence which resulted in another lost game and, more-importantly, 2 critical points!

I would also be interested in learning the reasoning why, last season, we were forced to play 3 games in 10 days but we are still waiting for the Skolars game to be rearranged.

I am a little if not a lot confused on this thread, please correct me if I am wrong, both Paul and David March played in the North Wales game, days leading up to that game both were on a coaching course. David March is only part time and has work interest away from rugby, Paul March is a young coach learning is trade. Coaches from all leagues from the very top of super league to the Sunday morning kid’s rugby coach attend various coaching courses to improve their skills throughout the year, there is always something new to learn no matter how long you have been in a job, in the end though it ultimately benefits their club. So Paul March wants to be a better coach improve his all-round coaching, his brother looks like he wants to follow in his footsteps (and David does this in his own time), I am not sure where the argument is on this one!

I seem to have misunderstood too. I was at the north wales game but thought they had no played( well according to this thread). If they did then 666 is talking rubbish.

Common sense? On here? I'm off for a stiff drink and a lie down.
