As poor as the ref was, we were worse.
Credit to Batley, they held us out when we had them under sustained pressure. If we had played with an ounce of intelligence we would have scored two possibly three tries in the first 20 mins, then who knows?
Batley were fortunate with a couple of their early tries but boy did they make us pay once they got in front. They had the confidence to play expansive rugby that was very attractive to watch. There will be some very happy Batley fans tonight.
Good to see how Batley have gradually and steadily developed their ground (but shame about the slope) - A role model to others?. Its good to see how Harrison has a team of local lads playing collectively above their individual ability.
