Bottling it up at Cougar Park. : Wed Mar 04, 2009 3:21 pm
Starting with this Saturday’s Carnegie Challenge Cup Third Round tie against French club Pia Donkeys fans coming to Cougar Park will be able to enjoy a refreshing new service.
The Cougars are introducing a new bottled beers bar at the southern end of the Cougar Park stadium between the Jewson Stand and the southern terrace.
Helen Carter, the Cougars’ General Manager, said: “Many Rugby League fans like a beer when they’re watching their favourite teams in action and we’re introducing this new service to make life that much easier for them.
“Although we have bars in the main stand not all the fans watch the game from there and we want all the fans to be able to enjoy a drink at the game”.
For the Cup fixture the Cougars will be supplying the bar with bottled lagers and Carter added: “We will be looking for some feedback from the fans to see what kind of beers they prefer to have at the bottle bar.
“Rugby League fans have a great reputation for being able to enjoy a beer and behave themselves so that’s why we’re very happy to make this new service available at CougarPark”.
