He said that he's looked at it and Adam was pushed in the back.

Haven't seen the incident, but that's the problem with whining so much about diving when most tackles are shades of grey anyway.

Personally I think football would be far better off if managers and players just stopped talking to the press and everyone just concentrated on the 90 minutes.

Not seen the incident myself yet either, but from what I've seen and heard, it's only Pulis that is saying that Adam was pushed in the back. Since he dived when he was at Liverpool, forgive me for not believing him until I actually see the incident itself.

Even if managers don't wish to talk, I'm sure the media will find some way of trying to get the answers to their questions. Take this afternoon for example, Gareth Hock had a poor game for England yet he got Man of the Match. First question the interviewer asked him; "what's going on with Paramatta?"

Jeez, if managers and players stopped talking to the press, Fergie would probably end up collapsing with withdrawal symptoms. He's had his two cents worth on everything recently.

Pulis actually has a case for Adam, BUT, only if he also concedes that the free kick they conceded from was valid. Claiming there was no contact in the latter is idiotic.

Most managers spout complete rubbish immediately after a bad result. If managers are compelled to give television interviews and press conferences straight after the final whistle then we'll continue to read and hear drivel.

Never understood the requirement to have a camera/microphone shoved in their face straight after the final whistle. You are never going to get objectivity at the point, if ever. Why makes the TV companies much more important than the press conference types?

I guess it's all about capturing emotions? I think it's sometimes a little rude and quite forceful, but if my team's just had an emotional victory, or played in an exciting game, I like hearing the manager straight after it as long as he's talking about the game in general. When the press start asking about isolated incidents knowing full well they haven't seen any/many replays, it becomes a bit farcical and unfair. If they don't answer, they're being grumpy and rude, if they do answer incorrectly, they're blind, deluded and idiots.

For me, it should be a simple quick summary of the game, a couple of tactical questions and any questions regarding injuries. As soon as they start talking about cards, non-decisions and mistakes, it plummets.

Quite funny after Gerrard's rant that Liverpool equalise today from another hopeful diagonal lump upfield.

Quality finish from the Suaz though. Brave, after being shot four times in the game ;)
