But wasn't it because of Platini's hate of England/English football/The Premier League that got him banned in the first place?

Twas merely a wind up in honour of some of or more europhobic posters.

I think we all know that regardless of contact, Eduardo would have ended up on the ground and the contact made wasn't enough for him to even feel, let alone for him to act like he'd been snipered.

The ban was wrong but if Arsenal fans claim he didn't dive like Wenger did, then it just shows you how deluded they really are.

Thought they only changed the league games? as long as you had the credit from last season on fancard it still counts for CL Debreceni went down to zero credit anyway, we got 4k for Leeds in the cup looks like it might go to all fancard holders with abit of luck £18 a ticket I think.

I don't know what it was mate, but I never got the tickets, my mate did and he was asking me for money for something to get tickets, I'm completely broke at the mo and he said if I can't go the first game, we won't be able to get to the rest, so I told him to just write off the year.

Rather than claim it was a penalty, Wenger and Arsenal would have been better pointing out that it's ludicrous to bring in a rule after the season has started.

Lord God Jose Mourinho wrote:
The UEFA Appeals Body today accepted the appeal lodged by Arsenal FC against the two-match suspension handed to striker Eduardo.

Following examination of all the evidence, notably the declarations of both the referee and the referees' assessor, as well as the various video footage, it was not established to the panel's satisfaction that the referee had been deceived in taking his decision on the penalty.

Therefore, the decision of the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body of 1 September, in which the player was suspended for two UEFA club competition matches, is annulled.

Right decision. Bull5hit explanation.

He dived. No doubt about it. The reason the ban shouldn't have stood is because it was completely out of line with the punishment from the ref. It's nonsense to ban someone for 2 games when the punishment if the ref saw it would've been a yellow card.

UEFA = Completely incompetent.

Eduardo dived in front of the Celtic fans. Blatant cheating and such behaviour, in my book, could be deemed as inflammatory, likely to upset the muppet section of the away support and could, just could, have provoked a riot.

Re-open the case and give him three matches instead of two please. :wink:

I know you had to £29 to be a "member" but thats for league only, he's right about if you don't go this one you can't go the rest though Fiorentina and Lyon will sell out probs on 1 game last season and Debreceni on FC

Hasn't taken long for city fans to be blinded by the cash has it? Used to get a decent debate with the blues on here who could usually see both sides of any controversial incidents but now all you get is one sided drivel.

Mind you those Blue posters you talk of have been outnumbered by a few latecomers.
