From what I've read, it was the plan for Heynckes to retire at the end of this season from almost the moment they appointed him, but given how well Bayern are going this season there was a suggestion it could be postponed. Obviously that's nixed now.

With perfect timing, Frank Rijkaard has left his job as boss of the Saudi Arabian national team. Would that be someone our Chelsea brethren would be happy with?

I see Arry is splashing the cash again. It's his only plan. Most over rated Manager ever. Spent millions and still won f*ck all.

Hillarious. Liverpool spend months and months telling the world he's an angel and doesn't cheat, should have had 914 penalties this season and isn't a massive racist. Then they get everyone to pump out carefully rehearsed press releases and interviews about how the country is victimising him and shouldn't force him out of the country.

Then he goes and admits he's a diving cheat.

Diving in the area, or a dive that directly leads to a goal should result in an automatic 1 game ban. Once Luis the cheat and his brethren started to be suspended every other week, he'd soon stop it.

Good luck to Strachan in charge of the Jocks. Should instill a bit of pride and passion into his players.

If Kompany's challenge was deserving of a straight red, despite him winning the ball, not (IMO) being reckless and having very little potential for injury - as some on here would have you believe - what should Scholes have got last night for a challenge that was late, off the ground and not even in the same postcode as the ball?

Or if you've got a reputation for not being able to tackle properly, are playing for Man Utd and have one of the biggest homers in English football in charge, do different standards apply?

How do you come to the conclusion there's little potential for injury from Kompany's tackle? There's little potential injury TO Kompany, that's why the pussy tackles like that, but there's clearly potential for injury if he catches someone after jumping in like that.

Scholes should have got a red too.

No.

He'd be better than Benitez, but he's nPower Championship level compared to Mourinho. He won La Liga twice and the CL with Barca, but they're the only major honours he's won in nearly 10 years of management.
