Ronaldo also has bags of goals and has played at the highest level and is world player of the year (at least until DecembEr when Messi wins it).

Ribery has never really proved himself and has only played in the French and German leagues. There different kind of midfielders really and doesn't Ribery play on the left?

Pellegrini will have his hands full next season. There's going to be a lot of big time Charlie players to keep happy. My guess is he won't do it, Raul will have a quiet word in Florentino's ear and he'll be gone by Easter.

Does nobody else think it's strange and rather short-sighted how Madrid have bought two attacking midfielders and are close to siging a forward (Villa) when their biggest problem last year was the defence?
