Man City deserved it and have for most of the season. Relying on other teams now, we just didn't show up tonight. It was fitting that Kompany got the winning goal as he's been a rock all season. It was embarassing listening to Niall Quinn during commentary.

I may be wrong in this, but was Niall being honest when he said Rooney kicked Kompany for Kompany's yellow card? I didn't think it was a yellow, but it looked like Rooney's boot slightly caught Kompany's on the follow through.

Think Ferguson's team selection was questionable and possibly showed signs of being more frightened of City than confident of bossing them. Went for numbers in midfield but very little mobility/pace. Completely overrun and Rooney isolated as a result, if anything City should have won by more.

Agree, should never have been a yellow.

As a neutral, I have to agree......I know Sky probably thought they had to even things up with Gary Neville being in the studio, but Quinn's City-biased summarising ruined the whole thing for the viewer.

Never thought I'd say it, but surely Alan Smith should have been next to Martin Tyler?

It was good to see it played in a decent fashion, it almost descended into a Celtic-Rangers, Barca-Madrid pit of stupidity. Joe Hart has not had to make a save the entire game. It was a toothless performance. This could be the start of something big for Man City, they were going to win it sometime.

The thing that hurt's is that we had it totally in our hands three weeks ago and choked massively.

I like Le Tissier. I think Quinn does a great job in the studio, provides good insight. It's a bit too emotional a game to put him in the commentary box though. There was zero attempt to hide any allegiance.
