In fairness to us, we did have a last minute winner ruled out for nothing against Everton, so we should have one win on there at least.

But that 'last minute winner' was 'scored' by someone who should of been sent off in that game. So swings and roundabouts and all that. Or was it 'justice'? I can't quite decide.

Incredibly biased, but oh well. Articles like that (and the stuff Paul Tomkins writes) are why I generally don't bother reading things. A thinly veiled dig attempting to get a rise out of our fans, just so the writer can say "look, I told you so!"

Not sure it take much to get a rise, or a conspiracy theory or a corruption rant out your average RAWK dweller tbf

| Just seen the vid for the Jay Rodriguez "dive" because of the link to the RAWK "article".
I don't have any sympathy for the Villa defender. While he never actually made any contact with Rodriguez he never got close to the ball either. He just swung his foot and managed to stop before he smashed it into the shin of Rodriguez.
If you don't want to give a pen away, kick the ****ing ball. Don't make a blind swing of the ball and then claim total innocence because you managed to stop 4 inches from kicking someone's shin in.
Was it a dive? TBH I'm not sure. It could have been a dive or it could have just been an instinctive evasive action after seeing a boot flying at him. It's way more complicated than the contact/no contact issue that the media portrays it as.

Embarrassing on all levels. I'm a big fan of Twitter and what can be achieved on there, but that was daft and neither side covered themselves in glory.

Barton is a strange one, always thought he had something as a player from when he came through at city, but was an amazing propensity for falling out with people he has. twitter gives people a soap box to voice their opinion, and boy he's got an opinion on everything, and seemingly has truth by the tail (in his opinion)

He typifies your typical yob on the street. A big gob with an uneducated opinion on everything. Barton tried acting like something he wasn't but his true colours shine through every time somebody 'starts' on him.
That pic of Michael Johnson's a shocker by the way. I knew he'd put weight on and I'd heard he'd essentially given up on football, but I didn't think somebody still on the books could get that bad. What's he doing with his spare time? Drinking?

It's mainly about money.
But form, manager and location all point to QPR as the better destination. And if he's got ambition, a short term spell at QPR could see him transferred to a better club. A transfer to Newcastle could see him stuck there.
And Newcastle finishing in mid table? I doubt that. I think they'll finish pretty much where they are now. But now that QPR have a manager they could save themselves, so saving QPR from relegation would be better than a 16th place finish with Newcastle.

I don't go for all that evasive action stuff. If you're jumping out the way of a challenge you don't go down arms out and stare at the referee before waving your arms around. You turn away from the supposed collision for a start off.
It was a dive staight fron the Gareth Bale, Luis Suarez, Steven Gerrard, Ashley Young playbook.

| It was a dive, but defending of that level of ineptitude should be punished by awarding a penalty anyway, so I'm happy with the outcome.

Maybe, but QPR go down or Remy doesn't perform, he'll have taken a big step down and could end up stuck at QPR.

| The lure for Remy is surely just money. If it were a footballing decision, he wouldn't sign for either of those clubs. Both are headed for the gutter and quickly too. Newcastle had a good season last year but the wheels have well and truly come off and now Pardew's life sentence deal is looking a shocker.
London being the location may also have something to do with it. I'm sure it's infinitely preferable to Newcastle.

If he's awful, QPR are lumbered with paying him 70 grand a week to enjoy London for a few years.
If he's good, someone else will sign him and QPR will happily sell him to get him off the wage bill.
The risk is all QPR's, not Remy's.

How is he medically? Is he injured? He was still on City's books until just before Christmas, so I can't understand how they let a player get into that state. If he's medically okay and just fed up, there is potential for him to resurrect his career there. He could be a decent lower league signing.
