So now this american, who is considerably poorer than most of the new breed of premiership owners has bought liverpool, what exactly is going to change? He doesnt have any money to spend on players or build a new stadium.
It will be like deja vu in a season or two
Maybe it will, but I feel we're more than entitled to have our hopes up a little after recent events. Although we're in a bit of a state at the moment, I still don't think you have to spend hundreds of millions to be successful. I still feel Arsenal are a better side than Citeh, but the squad values won't say that. Arsenal are an exceptionally run club, they're very sensible, very wise and they're light years ahead of some of the crap we get in England. We don't need a Maktoum, we need/want to be a well run club that will be able to compete once the 2012 financial fair play thing comes into place.
I'm unsure on our chances of keeping Torres, I feel he may jump ship instead of stay for another rebuilding process. As much as he loves it here, his career shouldn't be wasted on false dawns; he's too good to spend his career trying to carry us. He may go, but with the right manager in charge, I'll still have hope.
