So, you're a Premier League manager who is under a bit of pressure after an indifferent start to this season, and a woeful end to the last. To turn the tide, you decide to appoint a new captain. Do you appoint:-
a) The long established goalkeeper, who hasn't missed many games since signing 6 years ago
b) The left-back, who has surpassed all expectations and performed admirably at this level, despite being constantly written off as 'lower-league at best'
c) The new right-back, who likes a bit of a shout and bawl and gets stuck in

d) The 35 year old faded ex-England 'star' who can barely complete 90 minutes even when he does play, which isn't all that often

As much as i hate to say it, he's lost the plot. Big time.
