I have him as a friend on facebook and he loves talking about football and in particular his college coaching

All his status's are like diaries about the games/training and what he is doing, that's how I found out about him being on sky.

Rodgers is nowhere near as good as Brady or Manning. That's obvious to anyone with a brain. However, I think you're right that Rodgers doesn't get as much love as he should and I don't understand why.
