Only bet I had today was a ten pound place lay on Campanologist at Newbury, think the bugger snaffled third at the death from what they said on the radio.

Just looked at another 7 runner race and Betfair do 3 places on 7 runners. It beat 4th & 5th placed by about a neck

Betfair bet to the standard Tattersalls place terms ie:

2 places up to 7 runners
3 places 8 to 15 runners
4 places 16 runners+

Due to the back and lay nature of the exchange thesse do not change when there are non-runners so an 8 runner handicap reduced to 7 runners will still be 3 places whilst a regular 7 runner race will only be 2 places.
