The Lions paid a heavy price for their efforts yesterday, and the Boks' more animalistic tendencies. The props have taken the brunt, with Gethin Jenkins having a broken cheekbone and Adam Jones a dislocated shoulder. Neither will play next week.

Meanwhile BOD is concussed, Roberts has possibly broken his wrist and Tommy Bowe has an injured elbow.

Schalk Burger and Bakkes Botha have been cited.

Burger banned for 8 weeks and Botha for 2 weeks. The ends justify the means.

The referee obviously seen the gouging as he sin-binned him, so if he has seen it, then why hasn't he sent him off (It was right in front of him anyway, he had a very clear view)?

Eight weeks for contact to the eyes is a joke, except only Schalk Burger will be laughing.

Given the way the Bok media whined like little bitches when Bentley was falsely accused of doing the same to James Small in 97, it's surprising how quiet they've kept, no really.

Mind, when your own coach seems to view gouging as "part of the game" what can you expect?
