Never seen it so couldn't comment, but from what I've heard around and about, it was a pretty poor decision from the referee.

Heard around about from who? Have a look on the internet. Stone wall. It was only the defender who committed the foul who had a real gripes. I think the rest of the team knew it was a foul.

Wenger wouldn't have seen it. Fergie would have said that they should have had a throw in in the 24th minute, so the decisions evened themselves out.

Like I said, I'm not going to laud Moyes for his actions when there's the suspicion that he was doing it mainly to make sure it was just the 3 matches he'd be banned for. When Cantona botched his Bruce Lee impression Man United instantly suspended him, but that was questioned as whether they were just trying to lessen the ultimate punishment. Didn't United end up whining over the length of ban he did end up with?

Jesus Christ! So nobody can win eh? Those who defend the indefensible are lambasted yet those who don't defend the indefensible have an ulterior motive?

If it was a stonewall penalty, why is Fellaini apologising then?

And forums that I've been on, and a few Everton fans I know say the penalty was pretty dodgy.

Because he was very clever in the situation and the defender was clearly upset about it. The naive League 2 defender was eager to beat him to the header, so Fellaini stood his ground and didn't jump. The defender rose above him and instinctively used Fellaini's shoulders as leverage and then fell onto him. It was a clear penalty in the modern game. What is the ref supposed to do? The defender has jumped on Fellaini's shoulders and fallen onto his head and knocked him over.

He didn't apologise in any dramatic sense, he just said, "Sorry about the pen mate" when they were shaking hands after the game, a sympathetic gesture from a genuine and compassionate human being, rather than some guilty confession by a cheat.

Just because the refs didn't see it doesn't make it ok. If a player takes another out off the ball in RL but nobody sees it, it's still cheating/dirty tactics.

Suarez was penalised earlier this season for attempting to score with his hand, had a goal disallowed against Wigan last season for putting it in with his hand and has done so again but this time got away with it. As I said in my earlier post........a*se.

Why is it only what Suarez does that winds people up?

Why don't you vilify a wall for encroachment during a free kick? Why don't you complain about the players that walk ahead ten yards when taking a throw in? What about the defenders that pull shirts and hold players back, then throw their hands in the air to say "I haven't touched him", or, even better, when they raise their hands to claim for a player being offside when they clearly knew he wasn't, in the vain hope the ref will make a mistake? What about defenders who snap somebody then get up apologising, hoping it will mean the ref won't send them off? Just about every area in the game involves some 'bending of the rules', or people trying to con the referee. Why is it when Suarez does it, people write about it for weeks and bang on about it for months? Why do people think he should apologise and demand that everything he does on the field should be perfect and up to *their* standards? (That frequently change depending on the club and player)

People's standards when it comes to honesty in the game are absolutely embarrassing. Should the goal have been disallowed? Yes, of course it should. Should Suarez have been booked? Probably. Should he have told the ref he handballed it and give up the goal? Of course he shouldn't, only a knuckle dragger would say he he should.

Amusing post from Roddy considering he refers to Rooney as 'scum' for even the smallest incidents.

Because he keeps on ****ing doing it!

Stuart Pearce handled the ball (to try and get a goal or block a goal, can't remember which) but there was only the one time most people will remember. Maradona did it. Thierry Henry did it.

Just one occasion, each of them.

Suarez has just done it for Liverpool, to add to the one he was booked for last month at Southampton, to add to the one he stopped against Ghana in the WC. Someone's listed the Wigan game last season as another time he did it.

Liverpool bitch and moan about him not getting the pens he should, and in the very next game he throws himself to the floor in one of the most embarrassing dives of the season.

And on top of all that there was all the nonsense between him and Evra, and then the nonsense about him not shaking Evra's hand before the game. Then he admitted it, then he made up a different excuse, then he blamed Evra again.

He's clearly an excellent player, which even people who don't like LFC admit. But he is the biggest magnet in the game for stupid offences. Which LFC fans blame on everyone else but Suarez.

Indeed, I hold a grand dislike of Rooney and many other players. Thing is, I won't come out and claim Rooney as scum for something like a handball or something in general play, just his bully-like antics and general twatishness. If someone thinks Suarez is a t*t, then whatever, I laugh at that stuff, it's the way people want to exaggerate his alleged wrongdoings because it's him that baffles me.

Racism - whatever, people have their views, whatever.
Diving - worst ever.
Tackling - dirtiest ever.
Profiting from any call - most disgusting human being ever, he must tell the referee and be the only honest player alive.
People claim he's a family man - can't be, he's a disgusting human being.
Gets a bad tackle - deserves it.
Saves ball against Ghana - disgusting. Only he would do that, he broke *Africa's* heart.

Paul Scholes tries to score a goal with his hand against Zenit - Oh Scholesy.
Paul Scholes snaps an opponent, nearly breaking their leg - Oh Scholesy.
Paul Scholes takes a swing for Xabi Alonso - Oh Scholesy.
Paul Scholes saves ball on the line against Fulham - Oh Scholesy.

I imagine there are plenty more against Scholes but I'm not sad enough to bother or care, yet Scholes is a player universally respected for everything, be it his career without an agent or his fantastic tackling ability. (Remember, no malice).
