Haven't watched Goals on Sunday, but how can the positioning of Crouch's body show that all of the ball was over the line?
It often seems to me that when its claimed that the ball crossed the line its unclear whether all of the ball has crossed the line. There are obvious exceptions such as Lampard's "goal" against Germany and Spurs at United but these seem to be the exception rather than the norm.
Well he was falling backwards into the net with his feet on the line. Barring some sort of amazing act of contortion Crouch's chest has to be a good distance behind the line.
