Like I said when you look at the figures it proved to be a superb piece of business surely. Just 3 years after Blackburn signed Shearer, Liverpool were paying £8.5million for Collymore, absolutely no way was Collymore more then twice as good as Shearer.
Newcastle paying £20million for Owen then him leaving to join Man U on a free four years later - now that's bad business!
