He's called him up before and he's had to pull out due to his knee not being upto it but Capello clearly rates him.
Given the real dirth of decent centre halfs, I think he'll take him and pretty much gamble that they can manage him through training and with the centre half partnership established as it is, you hope that he's not needed, but if he is -It'll be a couple of games and his knee will cope with it, cope with it better than the rigours of a Premiership season.
I think Capello knows that even crocked king is head & shoulders above fully fit Upson & Lescott who've both looked shaky in England shirts (and domestic shirts this term), whereas King has been to a major tournament before etc.
On this season's form I don't think Upson deserves to go TBH. A centre half who is in good form but doesn't seem to have had much of mention though is Dawson. Could be worth a shout.

I think he's garbage to be honest. I've never rated him, I think he's error prone, not the quickest over short distances and he's generally a shaky player. If any Spurs centre half is to go, it would be King for me, I think he's immense but his fitness is a real issue.
What happened to Curtis Davies this year? I remember him doing a decent job against us early on at Anfield this season, but I've not heard much since and now I see Villa lining up with those two donkeys at centre half
Whatever happened to the One Man Army Michael Turner? I thought England's answer to Nesta would be captain by now.
No matter who we pick, without a proper defensive midfielder, i.e Hargreaves, the defence will continually get exposed. The midfield has no energy to it, we're not good enough to play keep ball so we need to rush sides when we've not got possession. Part of me wishes Reo-Coker kicked on with his early hype, he could easily have been a player like Lassana Diarra for England, but he seems to have gone off the radar and never performed anywhere near to the level some had hoped.
I know Lord God Jose Mourinho will disagree with me but here goes anyway........
Thought Bolton were hard done tonight at The Bridge.
The Terry one was 50-50 for mine but the referee shoudn't have missed the Drogba one in the first half.
Great game, one of the best I've been Bolton play in this season. Chelsea are a quality outfit and they are going to take some stopping from here now.
The Drogba one, I saw it at the time and held my breath, but the lack of any response from any Bolton player or the commentators made me think I'd just seen it wrong. Then on the replay, again nothing from the commentators. Their insistence that that Davis had won the header kind of convinced me that I'd just seen it wrong.
Then, after half time the commentators mentioned that Coyle was angry at the lack of a penalty. The replays then showed that Drogba clearly played it back with his hand.
For me, the major problem for Bolton was the lack of an appeal from them. There was only one player who threw his arms in the air, but he was alone and stood 20m away. Davies didn't appeal, and he was involved in the challenge with Drogba. The lack of appeal from Davies and the Bolton players was the damning factor for me. I'm not convinced that Coyle and the coaches saw it at the time either, or else they'd have raised hell to the 4th official and the commentators would have noticed it. I think they watched a video of it at half time.
The second one, I thought that was a pen on first showing. I thought we'd got away with it. But on the replays I think the lino was dead right and Terry played the ball with his shoulder.
I thought the game was dreadful TBH. At one point, well into the first half, we had 70% possession and TBH I thought we'd done FA with it. Drogba's only decent moment in the game produced the goal.
I think Elmander's the biggest pile of dog droppings in the PL. Normally I don't want him on the pitch because he's not worthy of being on my TV. But tonight, against us, I wanted him to play because he is so dire. But when he came on late in the game I just knew that he was going to score the equaliser. It was that type of game and I've that type of hatred of him.
I'm not that bothered about England, but usually I do get excited about the team for the World Cup games. But if Theo Walcott is in the England squad then I'm supporting someone else.
