No way will the Hawks get rid now with how well he's started the season unless they offer someone like Elias or Gionta in return.

If they make a move for anyone, at least it will show that they have absolutely no faith in Scott Clemmensen or Kevin Weekes to fill the gap during Marty's absence.

Is it worth his salary though?

It is if he helps us get into the playoffs for the 1st time in 6 years.

As a Hawks fan I till don't think he is worth his salary. Yes he is playing well at the minute (how many seasons has it taken though??) but the question is can he sustain this form? I dont think he can. If we get a good deal to finally get rid I would TBH.



Another good win for the Hawks last night 6-1 against the Flames. Toews finally getting his first goal of the season. The stick play and passing from the the like of Kane, Toews, Brouwer etc was fantastic last night . The addition of Quennville behind the bench is starting to show in the Hawks now and prove the management team right is replacing Savvy.

The Hawks are great to watch at the moment and with so many young players they can only get better.



Big night for the Hawks on Wed as the #3 jersey is retired and it's on NASN.

Got the beers on ice ready and waiting!!! Feel so spoilt as a Hawks fan since Rocky Wirtz took the helm and allowed TV coverage to be shown of all Hawks games.



Have to say the aside from Kane & Toews the likes of Brouwer & Versteeg have really impressed me so far along with Byfuglien, even Havlat was looking his old self against the Flames which can only be good. They seem to have a different team spirit under Quenneville and seemed to have a much more determined and steely edge to their game.
