Merson had it spot on.

They have Reina, Carragher, Gerrard and Torres probably one of the best spines around. It's players around them that are awful. Glen Johnson..if he was to be put on the transfer list, who'd buy him? He can't defend for toffee. Surpisingly Phil Thompson actually spoke alot of sense r.e Hodgson and was very fair. Who would you like long term?

You're being naive....You do realise though that if Kenny steadies your ship, then there will inevitably be a clamour for his long term appointment?

Dalglish is in a no lose situation....Do a good job, he gets the job....Balls it up, Roy gets the blame and Kenny slinks off back to his seat in the stand.

Do you think selling Torres and using the funds to strengthen a few areas would be beneficial? It could give you a bit more balance and quality across the board.
