Look at the brain farts Ferdinand had at that age. It was widely questioned whether he could kick on. Conversely Wes Brown was touted as a real star in the making, but I think it is fair to say their playing levels are not equal. Potential, is exactly that.
Ferdinand always looked class. IMO concentration often improves with expereince. I still think the number and frequency of 'brain farts' associated with Ferdinand are nowhere near what people make out. Ferdinand at a young age was calmness, an authority, quick and skillful. I just don't see anything special in Evans.
Just to show I am not being biased - I have seen that Fabio once, and for me it was clear that he has plenty of talent. He looks to be much better than his brother. With Evra looking a tad fragile this season, we may see more of the Brazilian next season.
Did anyone see Evra's and Rooney's reaction last night when the Frenchman realised he was bleeding? It was hilarious. Evra started panicking, I thought he was about to hyper-ventilate, and Rooney looked like he was asking the ref to allow a doctor on to the pitch to perform life-saving surgery.
