I thought it was "less" out than the one Bopara got away with yesterday, but the umpires didn't, oh well what a shame....

The problem is the consistency, why refer Bopara but not Hughes? It makes no sense.

Personally I don't think they should be referring anything at all, especially for "catches" like those - a couple of years back SKY or C4 did a feature about these instances which showed that the camera would always make it look like the ball was grounded, even if it wasn't.

One thing that would be relatively easy to use technology for is overstepping for no balls, there was some analysis on footage a few years back that suggests umpires miss 20-25 no balls in a usual days play, I seem to recall Vaughan and Trescothick both being out to no balls in '05 as well.
