Bit of advice, please!
Placed a bet at a high street bookies yesterday for Flannery to score the first try in the Leeds - Saints game. At some time as the bet was being placed, betting was suspended (it was right on kick off time) - however, the slips taken, scanned in (so to all intents and purposes the bet was accepted?) and I have them.
I've been told today from the staff that the bet has returned my stake. I haven't handed over my slip though, as I'm intending challenging this.
Have I got a chance? The bet was taken in good faith, and there had been no score at the time the bet was placed (I know this because I walked from the bookies to the pub and they scored just as I got to the bar!) so it's not as if I've gained an advantage.
