| The ref in the Norwich v Man City game was appalling IMO. City's 2nd goal shouldn't have stood for Kompany's studs up challenge, Norwich's first wasn't a free kick, it was an excellent tackle by Kompany, Garrido was technically a back pass, I didn't see that much wrong with Bassong's tackle for the melee, and Nasri threw a paddy but didn't look like a head butt to me. A yellow for handbags, but red was harsh IMO.

Can't say I was shocked he had a bad game when I saw who it was. Stealing a living that guy. Makes Alibert look like he knows what he's doing.

The ref's performance in the game was better than your summing up of it.
Nasri made a clear head butting motion when he was squared up with Bassong. For whatever reason the idiot didn't actually make contact, but he deserves the straight red just for the clear head butting motion.
I can only think that he was going to butt him but bottled out of it and went wide, or he was simply trying to incite Bassong to get him sent off, but whatever his reasoning it's his own problem. He deserved the red card. If Citeh appeal it'll get thrown out. 3 match ban.
The two Kompany tackles were both on the borders of legality. Some you get given, some you don't.
Bassong's was a dangerous tackle. He won the ball, but that challenge was far more about following through and taking out Nasri.
The back pass was a clear error from the ref. The defender clearly passed back to his keeper but the keeper probably wouldn't have been able to head it so instead tipped it over with his hand. The keeper should have been booked and a free kick given. The problem with that is that the free kick would have been on the goal line and it would have been a 5 minute farce trying to get it taken properly. And the game never would have restarted without some infringement taking place. So the ref bottled it and just gave the corner instead.

The truth is, he's not all that was made out at Huddersfield....He bottled the play offs when he was there, Grayson managed to do it.'"
yep, the same Lee Clark
the subject is H'field not Brum which is a totally different can of worms
every coach/manager will find his level eventually and each one will have their ups and downs ie.Cloughie went from zero to hero to zero
Clark is a decent coach IMO and his day will come - people like Rogers at LFC as well as Clark will find their levels eventually

No manager who wins two European Cups and a league title with Forest ever reverts to back to zero.

It was decent but hardly think it warrants amazing. Cameron Jerome's was though.

question has to be asked - are Huddersfield Town in a better position now rather than when Lee Clark was in charge ?'"
Nothing wrong with a bit of arrogance, but you have to earn the right. Clark hasn't.
Town are in a better position. I put this down more to the largesse of the chairman than any previous manager.

It was a decent goal, only amazing thing about it was Lennon showed some composure and used his brain, Jerome's was a beast of a strike.

That's a pretty fair summary for me. I think, perhaps, that the Nasri incident was maybe a yellow card but I don't think he can complain about it either. You cannot take the law into your own hands.

Aldridge sat through the show featuring a 7-3, 4-3 and a 3-3 then suggested that Messi wouldn't score so many goals in the Premier League as he does in Spain with no hint of irony.

| That's because he's a clueless c*ck.
If Nasri gets that red overturned i'd be very surprised, silly boy.

jeez. the evidence continues to grow for those that need it that La Liga whilst a two horse race most seasons isn't devoid of talent or capable teams, I thought Athletic Bilbao completely destroyed United in the Europa last season, and Michu waltzing into the PL on the cheap and romping to the top of the scoring tables, all of which makes Fergies protestations that there is no value out there all the more ridiculous theres probably dozens of players in the less glam clubs who would shine in the PL for a fraction of the prices elsewhere.
