| Just when you thought it was over. I'd laugh if it wasn't Citeh chasing them.
In an ideal World, City would win next Monday and go top, only to lose at Newcastle and lose the league.

| What an absolutely fabulous game at Old Trafford. Everton were superb and United thought they had done enough when they got it to 4-2. Plenty of controversy too with the referee stopping the game for Evans but not for Pienaar. I cannot see the difference there apart from the colour of the shirt that benefits from it. The injury time at the end of both halves was a scandal as well, where did 5 minutes come from with no genuine stoppages or time wasting at all.
From an Everton point of view, Fellaini was simply brilliant. Unplayable today, how he's not at a Champions League club is beyond me. If only the referees would get over his size and let him tackle, he'd dominate the Premier League. Some superb interplay between Rooney and Wellbeck today as well, Rooney's second was brilliant. Wellbeck was United's star today, the best I've ever seen him play.

| The King Kenny dream continues for Liverpool. Three wins in 14 at fortress Anfield. And done over by the man they sacked to install Dalglish.
All this whilst the title race is well and truly back on; be interesting if Mancini still believes its over.

| Unfortunately for Everton, this is 2 points lost. They should have "boxed this game off", but for 3 SHOCKING clearances which led to goals. If you're going to clear your lines, do it properly. This game should have been Everton's. Shame. But as a City fan, I'm very grateful for their efforts. At 4-2, it looked dead and buried. It's not very often Everton do City favours. Today, they did. Thank you.
I've just heard Slur Taggart's post match comments on the radio " the rain didn't do the pitch any favours. It made it wet". Why the ##### does he tell his groundstaff to drench the pitch before every home game, then??? I'm mystified.

| Big day in the title race.
I was at work and watched the score updates on the BBC website in disbelief. I remember just 2 weeks ago it looked like city had completly blown it. I remember after city first surrendered top spot against swansea saying the gap between them and united could not be any bigger than 3 points going into the deby game if they wanted to win the title, and somehow they've managed it. I don't know how, but low and behold, derby game coming up 3 point gap with better goal difference.
If they win their last 3 games they will be champions but something tells they'll be a twist in the newcastle game, then again in the final week.
As for liverpool They've been embarassing in the premier league this season. King ''i wouldn't publicly criticise my players even if they went into a pre school and caused a massacre'' kenny's spent xx amount of money on attackers and their problem is they can't score.
The club has made bad buys, their players have underperformed and the way they dealt with the suarez issue was atrocious. They've got everything they've deserved this season in the league. They could finish as low as 14th, which tells it's own story.
Hopefully chelsea will do them in the FA cup final as well.
Long live King Kenny!

They remind me of the Middleborough team from around 15 years ago; few half decent players, absolutely awful all season but make a couple of cup final appearances. Only way "King Kenny" will be shifted from the job is if he decides to jack it in, they'd never ever sack him!

Recently been injured, hasn't he? If Guardiola didn't play him and he was 100%, that's Guardiola's fault but Barca are clearly better with him in defence than Mascherano or Busquets.
When Barcelona don't have Villa playing, or they don't have Pedro on form, or Alexis playing well, then yes, it is about stopping Messi as he's their most potent offensive player by a mile. The contributions of others through the years has shown they aren't a one man side, but they are a side massively dependent on fitness and luck with injuries.

| Told you all on here weeks ago that Utd would drop 4 points before the derby game.
Ironically, if we draw at city we will have a bigger lead than if we'd won today then lost vs city.
Good to see Hodgson getting a win today after the disgraceful way he was hounded out of Anfield by the LFC fans.

In what way was it disgraceful?
He was never wanted, he never done anything to change that opinion and the owners took the easiest decision since they've been at the club.

| Whilst Hodgson deserves credit for what he's done at West Brom, any comment suggesting this result means we were wrong to sack him is laughable and idiotic.

Whilst this season we've generally been poor, believe it or not we have actually played well in most games. When Hodgson was in charge, we were 12th and at one point close to relagation, he ran the club into the ground.
We're 7th and have reached both English cup finals. Kenny's signings have been more than questionable, but tactially wise he's got it spot on for the big games. I do agree with Graeme Souness in the fact that Kenny has to stop putting our narrow home defeats down to "bad luck". Our biggest problem this year has been profligacy.

If he'd have played, he'd've fallen over, due to the grass being too slippy, because of the rain.

| To be fair I can't really split Kenny Dalglish and Roy Hodgson. They now both have one Premier League victory each at Anfield in 2012.

Fellaini was very good, however, how good a striker is Jelavic and where would Everton be if he had joined last August and not on the last day of January??
Moyes has took some criticism from some over his striker signings (Beattie, Johnson, Yakubu, etc), but Jelavic looks an absolute bargain.....The big worry is that he is going to attract some attention from those 'bigger' clubs who sniff around clubs like Everton - An Arsenal, Chelsea, or even a Liverpool are surely going to be interested if he keeps this form up?

Nah, all Everton strikers have a run of form before Moyes manages to ruin them.

He looks a player. Looking at his style, I wish we went for him. He's a finisher through and through, someone put a stat on Twitter before about his goals for Rangers/Everton combined, something like 44 goals scored, 41 of them were one touch efforts, i.e. his only touch was to shoot/head the goal. I was unsure on him coming from Scotland, the competition is rank up there, Samaras is one of the best forwards up there FFS, but he's certainly hit the ground running. But, as you say, just how long will it be 'til he's sat on the bench for not running himself to the ground like every other forward?
