Sort of mid table battle Liverpool need to be competitive in, and Rob's favourite fixture

Not sure who was doing the 5 live commentary in the 2nd half but they commented on Suarez's body language, how much do you we think a moneybagsfc would pay for him?

Maybe a good thing then Sir Alex can retire before he really shows himself up with his antics towards the officials.

A winner he maybe but who really likes bullying types?

Man United are not good enough to consider them holding the title already.

Before he really shows up his antics? That horse bolted a long, long time ago.

I do find it funny that Bobby Charlton reckons Mourinho can't manage Man United because of his antics, when Fergie has been acting in a similar manner for decades. But with Fergie, the filter of him being Man United manager absolves him of the sins.

Liverpool have never liked putting in a shift against Stoke. Same with Arsenal.

Don't think Liverpool can afford to lose Suarez. They'd just get mugged again like they did with Carroll. There's a bunch of Carroll's and Geordie's around, but very few Suarez's.

I know Sturridge to the scousers is as "done deal" as they get, but I just hope something happens to kill the deal. Maybe Everton can kick Torres really hard on Sunday so we end up keeping Sturridge. I'm sad that Fellaini's banned now...

BBC Sport @BBCSport
Liverpool have never had fewer points after 19 games since the three points for a win rule was brought in.

Well done Brendan Rodgers. You're doing great.

Mirror reporting that Liverpool are after Franco Di Santo. I think they're just trying to make the Joe Cole deal look good.

Having just seen Stoke's goals tonight, I can imagine LFC fans' Barcelona complex went into overdrive during and after the game.

Anyway, ssshh, obsessed

Liverpool are hilarious. For all the attempts to make out that they are shooting for Barcelona in terms of style, they were completely outplayed by Stoke. Anyone who attempts to say otherwise is clearly Stokeist, or a deluded red.

How bad can it get for Rodgers before he starts to come under pressure? He seemed a good choice of coach, I was mildly worried about him going there. Does he get the whole season, irrespective of position (So long as they aren't relegated) or would he get the same treatment Hodgson got?

Another comfortable win for Everton today, but Jelavic's lack of goals and performance levels in general this season has got to be a concern for Moyes? He looked very off the boil today and is starting to look like he's turning into the new James Beattie, Darren Bent or Yakubu, starting with a hell of a bang then the goals dry up. Leon Osman was outstanding again today I thought, he's got the best feet of any English player. He's got Spanish-level quality with his technical ability and does so much quality work that just goes unnoticed.

LFC's problem is that the money they have spent has been pretty much frittered away by terrible management.

paying off 3 managers over a close period of time must have been a drain on the playing budget too
