The fact that United fans idolised him is typical of United fans. In fairness, he showed commitment on the pitch, which is a sure fire way to get fans on your side. I'll give it until September before he's quoted saying how much he loves the fans and feels totally at home at City (as he did with West Ham and United). He will be a hero there. When he decides to leave, it won't be his fault, it'll be someone else that didn't respect him. Maybe Stephen Ireland will push in the dinner que, maybe Micah Richards will sit in his favourite seat on the team bus, maybe Mark Hughes will dare not start him. Who knows.

If Tevez plays on a regular basis at city he will be quality (see his first season at Utd).

If Tevez is on the bench for half the season at city he will be average (see his second season at Utd).

Quite simple really.

Maxi Rodriguez could be available this summer, with Spurs looking to sign him according to goal.com

I notice your criticism of Tevez. I'm loving the typical Rag responses to Tevez leaving. They were begging him to stay a few weeks ago. Now that he has rejected a contract offer with United he is "rubbish", "overrated", and "has a poor first touch". Football fans are fickle but United supporters but United supporters take it to a whole new level. To be fair, those fans tend to be the JCLs and OOTs, and other assorted plastics.

I love Tevez for his work rate and all round play and his knack of getting very late and important goals. He is never going to be your top scorer, but he'll make up for that with his other play.

I didn't want him to leave, and thought that a decent offer would tempt him to stay, as it was it didn't and instead he (or his agent) wanted to sell his ar$e to the highest bidder, which is City. Yes, I know it's modern day footballers, but to pi$$ off to the other side of Manchester is very annoying.

In Owen we will have a better goalscorer than Tevez, but we won't have Tevez' workrate / fitness levels.
