beat good teams though. With your schedule we'd be laughing. We play in one of the toughest divisions in football and have one the hardest schedules this year. We did throw it away though.
Early on we were poor yes. But after those early big losses to the Steelers and the Saints no one has stuffed us. We should have beaten Atlanta twice, (especially in the Georgia Dome. We threw the ball deep in the last 2 mins and Williams, I think, was pulled back on the 6 yard line. They then spotted the ball on the 11 yard line and we came up 6 inches short of the win). We were in the game all the way with Baltimore and was very unlucky with a PI call just before the half that gave them 40 yards and put them on our 1 yard line. They then went 2 scores up (ask West Cumbrian Rhino how bad the call was). We lost to Detroit a couple of weeks back yes, but again, Winslow scored a TD with about 2 mins left which was called back for OPI (The league has since said the call was wrong and it should have been a TD) we had to settle for the FG and they drove down field and took it into OT where they had 1st posession.
Now im not moaning about the refs. Everyone gets dud calls. Im just saying we were in all the games and could/should have been in the play offs now. This, as wel,l with the youngest team in the league and a whole bunch of starters on IR. We have played 22 rookies this season. Can anyone else say that?
Look out for us next season.
Oh, and the whole "weak schedule" crap is stupid. The Cheifs have had a weaker schedule than us and no one is banging on about them. Everyone knows that they rotate it and some years its not as hard as others. ATEOTD though we matched the top team in the NFC twice now and beaten a few decent teams.
Remember we were 3-13 last year and there were 29 teams better than us.
