Embarrassing antics by Young at OT today but that was penalty. It's a shame because he played well, but there will only be one thing being discussed in the coming days. Given handling the ball outside the box seemed to go largely unnoticed. Scholes was outdstanding again but it's worrying to think that he, at times, carries the side. Very encouraging performance from Rafael who should be first choice right back next season.

Awful decision with regard to the second Chelsea goal. Terry can clearly been seen mouthing 'it's over' while VdV is remonstrating with the referee, so it was particularly galling to hear him admit that he cleared it off the line post-match. Chelsea were the better team and fully deserved to go through and Drogba's goal was very good. Two London teams playing a cup semi-final in London and yet swathes of empty seats. If that had been rugby league we'd never hear the end of it.

Personally I would try and break the bank to get Mourinho or Wenger from Real. Redknapp has never been good enough to manage at the top level. He'd be another Keegan.

Mourinho's turned england down before. Perhaps if he's successful with real this season, international managment may be the only challenge left for him to overtcome. But he'd surely favour his native portugal for that.

I'm sure Rafa will sit at home, La Liga trophies, Champions League, etc. chortling away at 'Arry, whose only thing of note is his old Nokia 3310 that he used to broker the Defoe to Pompey deal.



Slate Rafa all you want, but if Liverpool were consistently finishing in the top 4 and dominating the majority of Europe, people would be saying we're a pretty good side. Hiddink would be a great manager for a major tourney, he prepares his teams well and they will always compete, which is something we've struggled with at tournaments.
