You do realise the majority of those are indoor sports, don't you? How many indoor arenas in the UK hold 40,000 people?
I might have missed some but these are the largest indoor arenas in the UK. o2 arena - 23,000 MEN - 23,000 Earl's Court - 19,000 NEC - 16,000
Predominantly indoor sports aside...

Good point Catalancs. You are right, 40k is a fantastic number for a minority sport. But the NRL trolls were trying to claim that it would be similar to the number that watched the rugby world cup final. The rugby league world cup final only attracted 50k fans in Australia, where Dally and Old Darlin estimate 645million people watch the game weekly on the TV. It has no chance in england where between 100k and 200k people watch it each week

I think you failed to understand Catalancs was making fun of the likes of you, the troll, with that post.
The RLWC was sold out well in advance for the record.
It was reported heavily here. Macblondie missed it while watching some union.
From Hammersmith to the Shire to LA to the world!! Goodbye!

All of these things will make him a cultural icon when his visa runs out and he is sent the way of his great grandparents....alas, not in chains this time.
