Rio? More like Rafael. One to watch for me is di Maria, stupendous passer who'll be finding Ronaldo's runs all night if United's defence steps forward.

Probably the second best midfield in the world against no midfield. I can't see them winning at all to be quite honest unless United make some signings in January and they gel pretty quickly.

You could say similar things about RM's defense. City were woeful in both games against them but still came reasonably close to beating them. Playing the 2nd leg at home might just tip it in United's favour.

Good news for L'Pool. Sterling signs a new long term deal. I like the look of him v.much. Hope he can develop into a top player and not just a good player as so many English wingers seem to. Aaron Lennon / SWP and maybe Theo Walcott (although maybe time for him yet to really kick on).

My footballing sanity was questioned by an LFC fan (ironic?) when i said i wouldn't want Sterling at Utd...

Why not? Good young winger who will get better.Just the type of player Fergie could develop imo.
