No chance was it a dive his knee had locked before he even took the punch.

Not a dive IMO. He was doing ok so why would he go down? His knee seemed to buckle before he took the shot so I'd guess he has done some damage to his ligaments.

That is what Vitali was thinking. He wasn't happy. I thought initially he'd 'done' his knee. As in properly done it. But then he went and got up and started walking around at the end. He looked like he was really tired at the end, like he could just fall asleep. Or that he was really bored.

I suspected betting scandal would be mentioned, but the 'expert' commentator, McGuigan(?) seemed certain he was badly shaken by it.

the punch hit solis on the top of the head and his legs just went beneath him as he lost his senses....

all that weight on those legs if your not stood properly is going to cause some pain too!

unfortunate the punch hit where it did as he was doing quite well.

dont be silly.

he started really well and was in with a genuine chance no way he would just drop like that...he was hit on the temple and lost his senses..can happen and often does

I don't agree, I think it was at best a glancing blow not a flush shot. I'm not suprised Vitali wasn't best pleased

Temptation, greets you like your naughty mate,
The one that used to get you in bother,
But one that you could never bring yourself to hate.

Re: Boxing Round 2 : Sun Mar 20, 2011 2:13 pm
I think the fact that Vitali was vexed off tells you a lot.
