Also in the 5pm, Ermyn Lodge could have a squeak. Has excellent form around Ascot (1,1,2), and if stays could have another good tussle with Zigato. Only having the two bets I've already placed so won't be backing, but 16s-20s is a fair price.

Squeaky bum time going for home then, Frankel will have to be held up far longer against top class older horses - idled like hell.

Still, in front for the first day and thinking about piling on SYT tomorrow. Already got him in a free bet double with Frankel.

Never in doubt, he idled big time and still made it home. To go for home so far in front, and run at top speed for 4 or so furlongs and still it out by almost a length is a brilliant performance. Zoffany came home strong but was never catching. We've seen him make all in the Guineas, we've seen him go for it 4 or so furlongs out today - can you imagine if he was dropped in and Queally let him go at that speed for the last 3 furlongs, he'd blitz any field. Top class.

Finished bloody second wish I'd backed him E/W. Didn't back Power, either!

Still, the two I did came in so can't complain.

Looks a tough card tomorrow, but one sticks out for me and Ive been waiting for her to run this year.

Sweetie Time, in the last race. Trained by Michael Bell, Hayley Turner gets the leg up. I heard some glowing reports about her befre her debut last season and she managed to get a win on board. Was told again that she had done well from 2 to 3 and was one to keep an eye on this year. She wants some cut in the ground so hoping for a touch of rain overnight please, but anything abour 8/1 I'll be having a bit each way on to see how she goes. Will have to back Emmas Gift at fancy prices and do a reverse forecast too as the wife will kill me if I didnt back her !

Gutted. Flipped a coin to decide between Canford and Goldikova unfortunately I flipped wrong. Small time betting for me the rest of the way.
