He did have a good game and looked pretty clued up

Have to laugh at Henson high tackle especially as he had to jump to connect, maybe should have gone?

It always amuses me to see fans of Great Britain/England rugby league mocking other national sides for being a laughing stock, without even the slightest trace of irony...

Seen a re-run of the game now. I agree entirely with that statement.

One kick at goal, and it was as if he'd won the World Cup for England.

Aye, he did. He should have played for England before now IMO. I would have started the tournament with him at 15 and Wilkinson at 10, because Balshaw is just bollox.

The world famous Henson who made his name smashing an 8 stone 18 year old debutant a few years ago and kicking a long range kick? Awful attack, could have snapped the guys neck.

I'd rewrite that slightly to starting with Cipriani at 10 and Tait or Abendanon at 15, as Wilkinson is finished at international level.

You need to have some sort of running threat at 10 to interest the opposition back row, otherwise they can just drift across from setpieces and get at your centres. Wilkinson just doesn't offer that, Cipriani (or even Flood) does.

tbh ive never seen what all the fuss is about henson, is he a centre or a fly half? dosnt really dictate play for a half or score enough tries for a centre. i assume he playes the same role as was earmarked for farrell - outside centre.

there's one welsh player i do rate though and that's james hook. he will be one of the best players in the world in a couple of years

He's another Henson - great when his forwards are bullying the opposition off the park (whether it's the Ospreys or Wales) but doesn't grab a game by the scruff and drag his team to a win.

Best two players in that Welsh side IMO are Ryan Jones and Shane Williams.
