Leicester scored a try and as their kicker prepared to kick the extras you could hear a small part of the crowd booing and whistling....which i would imagine were the visiting supporters. The announcer said over the tannoy 'Here at Leicester we don't boo the opposition'

There was a cheer around the ground...and then silence.

He kicked the extras.


Later on in the game when the Welsh side scored you could have heard a pin drop as their player attempted to kick their extras.... total silence.

Great sportsmanship.


League could learn a lot from that aspect of the Union game.

Yep, absolutely nothing, that's what made them so superior to the League players who would be paid for playing rugby. They kept the Corinthian spirit alive, and any club found to be paying players would be thrown out of the union, just as happened to Leic...er....er....yeah...

Funny how many really well-paid groundkeepers and development staff there were at the top union clubs though, who didn't actually ever work at the grounds other than on matchday...

Today’s games saw some stronger attendances for the traditional clubs. Bath got 11,618 for the visit of Sale which is only 82 down on the same fixture last year, Gloucester got 11,377 against Wasps (623 down) and Leicester 17,063 (1,345 down on last year). Overall, an 8.3% drop

Newcastle vs. London Irish attracted 4,993 which is 173 down on the same fixture in 2009-10

Average attendance for the season (excluding the Twickenham and Wembley games and the fixtures involving Exeter) stands at 9,150. The same fixtures in 2009-10 averaged 10,316

They are still going down then,great news.
