It looks a though Daley will be out for a month, which leaves us without our entire first choice midfield for the cup game on Saturday, unless McLaren recovers in time.

It's imperative that McCall brings in a winger as Nix seems better centrally and Osbourne was very unconvicing out on the left against Rotherham. If we want to reamain in the automatic promotion positions then we will need far better quality out wide than Nix and Osbourne.

On a brighter note Tom Clarkes loan has been extended for a further month month and it's expected that Law's loan will be extended which means we'll still be okay in the centre of midfield untill Bullock and McLaren return.

We should also be able to use Clarke in the cup on Saturday as there is no danger about him getting cup tied for Huddersfield :D

I'm sorry to say that Nix would seem better at another club IMO. He just doesn't cut it for me. All the commitment in the world but takes too many wrong options and gets hustled off the ball too easily.

He's come on leaps and bounds the last few weeks. He was rip-rap at Guiseley and Dundee in the pre-season. It must be Jakes' influence!

I agree, I wouldn't be too surprised if he gets released in January when his contract is up - providing the midfield injuries clear up.

He's not a winger and doesn't have the presence to play in central midfield either, I think he was saved last year by his ability to nick a goal but, without that, he doesn't offer that much for me.

From what I've seen I'd like to see us make the signings of Tom Clarke and Nicky Law more permanent, both are more than capable at this level and should have improvement in them (hopefully in a higher league).

Law is OOC at the end of the season I believe so it's possible we could sort something out. Agree on Tom Clarke too, once he got over his dodgy spell early in the game I thought he was excellent in front of the back 4, looked very comfortable on the ball.

I watch Chester from time to time, I'm exiled here, probably the most inconsistent side in the division, beating Brentford and losing against almost anyone. Have some good players as well Mombika etc.

It looks like we've brought in Steve Jones from Burnley on loan for the next month, with Daley Colbeck ann Brandon all missing we certainly needed to bring in a wide player, unfortunatly we'll still have to put up with Nix or Osbourne on the other side, personally I'd go with Osbourne as whilst he was very poor against Rotherham he has more potential than Nix, and supposedly has pace. Although he didn't get to show it against Rotherham, largely due to being unable to control the football and making the wrong decision when he did.

Dissapointing today from City, whilst a draw with Dagenham isn't a terrible result as they have shown this season that they a more than just a pub team in essex (although not in terms of away support) however we still look a million miles away from a promotion chasing side even if we are currently 3rd in the table.

We really need Lee Bullock back ASAP as we have no ball winner in the centre of the park and find ourselves being outfought too easily Kyle Nix was also terrible yet again and must surely be on his way out at the end of the season. I also can't understand why Moncur is still being picked at right back when we have Paul Arnison sat on the bench. Rhys Evans however was superb yet again and is probably the main reason why we are in the top 3.
