Great performance from Wigan. Poor from United. Clear handball turned away though and Wigan scored from what should have been a United goal-kick. I hope Martinez claims that the refereeing performance was ''disgusting'' ;)

United were awful, the 'handball' was debatable, he was a very long way from the ball, so it wasn't one of these that smacks into someones hand from a yard away, but my stream was hideous so not sure as they were suggesting on the commentary that the defender deflected it onto his hand.

Did you see that stat i posted about Scholes a couple of pages back - why leave him out? not even on the bench?

Well done Wigan, City did what they needed to do and get ahead on the GD stakes...

How long has it been an automatic 2nd yellow card if you foul someone once already booked? Didn't know a new rule had been introduced.

Looked that way at first but it just hit has hand, didn't touch his leg at all. But we all know these things are swings and roundabouts, it's just some nutjobs who like to claim that for some reason refs and the FA want Utd to win the league every year

Well played Wigan but in all honesty Utd were absolutely pathetic. Nice way of giving City a foothold back in the title race. We looked as leggy and clueless as City were at Arsenal on Sunday. Utd still have 2 or 3 tricky fixtures and I wouldn't want to be going to Sunderland on the last day needing a result to win the title.

And so you aim towards the sky,
And you'll rise high today,
Fly away, Far away,
Far from pain....

I would....Having seen their last 2 games with Everton, I can honestly say they are pretty awful - I'd be very shocked if that Sunderland side, with nothing to play for, gave United any problems.

United should still win the league, they never let it slip.

However, and hindsight will show us this after the next 6 games, by losing to wigan and city beating west brom comfortably they could have accidentally created a momentum shift in the title race. Before it was all united, but momentum can change in sport and now city play their next game before united and could cut the gap back down to 2 points before united next play.

They really needed to win again to nail home the advantage created at the weekend. Now city's demoralising loss at arsenal is completly forgotten.
