"ALAN Jones investigated for links to the US mafia" would make a great headline, and today Sport Confidential can break that very story.
Though we should make it clear it's the Australian motor racing legend of that name we're talking about, questioned by the Australian Federal Police (AFP) over alleged American mob links after his 1981 Formula One win in Las Vegas, writes James Phelps.
Jones, one of sport's great characters, told Sport Confidential how a wild night of celebrations at the famed Caesars casino put him in the middle of a joint FBI/AFP investigation into the notorious American mafia.
