Me: I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.

knockersbumpMKII: Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm

New Liverpool 3rd strip is White with blue bits. Cue mass boycotts.

Outstanding player. A joy to watch. Although, when they were both in their prime, think I'd take Zidane over him. Two different types of players though. Still, one of the best midfielders of his generation is Ballack.

Zidane was no doubt the better player; he's the best playmaker/attacking midfielder I've ever seen in my young twenty years. However, Ballack was, and is, a better all-round player, if that makes sense? Ballack was a box-to-box player that added steel, leadership, passing and goals to the midfield. I'd take Zidane over him every day of the year, but they'd both be in a 00's XI.

It was only to counter what you said I do ‘quite a lot’. If you’re going to say something, at least be prepared to back it up when challenged on it.

As of this minute, only Nolan has gone and he’s already been replaced. I’m not concerned about Barton going as he can be replaced too. I’d be more concerned with losing the likes of Enrique, Coloccini and Tiote as their importance to the team in terms to playing ability is far more important than that of Nolan and Barton.

He’s a good signing for them but if they don’t go up, it’s a very expensive move. Even if they do come up, I’m sure in about two years time they’ll be wondering why they’re paying him £60k a week. I’m glad we’re not paying him that as it is a ludicrous amount. Out of interest, what makes you believe that he isn't a limited player?

Last year, we did have a hell of a lot of top performers. Some played well up until January and then faded from the standard they’d set, Nolan and Barton being two of those. In fairness to them, I think they still needed Carroll in the side in order to continue with their level of performances as both linked up well with him. Still, that doesn't detract from them not been as consistent from January onwards. Gutierrez was sensational from January onwards when he’d be fairly quiet in the first half of the season. Tiote, Enrique and Coloccini were fantastic all season. They all played their part.

I don't keep notes just in case I need them at a later stage but I do remember a sig about Smith i think it was followed by some good riddance type comments when he left. I don't keep any kind of notes on your opinions, why would I want to? Just remember the odd instance.

Nolan has limitations, so does Jonas, so does Rooney. Most players do. It depends on what job you want them to do.

If they were all that good why did you not finish higher in the league then?

You don't have to reply tbh as I am not interested in what you have to say.

A demonstration? or maybe a burning or a minutes silence? I blame Hicks and Gillett.

Race for Modric is hotting up, City set to offer £30m. Straight shoot out between them and Chelsea, I can't see Utd getting involved.

Still hoping Utd can find the £30/35m for Snjeider.

Do you think City even look at the positions the players they bid for play in? Or they just see a player being subject to a £20m bid and feel they really have to get involved?

Aye, I mean what about Silva?

Fixtures are out, Tough first half for Utd but after Christmas it's a bit better, the run in looks very kind with only the City game away in late April looking really tough out of the last 10 games.

Michael Ballack's retired. Where do people put him in terms of greatness? In terms of sheer all-round ability and leadership, has there been a better midfielder in the world over the past decade? Fantastic player who probably came to England at the wrong end of his career.

Awesome player and leader. He was fantastic in his last year for Chelsea, i said at the time we should have give him another year and i was right. We still havent replaced him.

Hearing that Chelsea are gunna use Alex as bait for Modric. Modric is exactly the type of player we need, we'd see the best from Nando if the Modric signing comes off aswell.

See the fixtures are out. United been hammered early on, a tad convenient to be honest. Banning our players and manager, giving Chelsea any decision they liked didn't work. The fixture list is their only hope.
