Liverpool losing and Arsenal dropping 2 points has certainly made today better than the last couple of months.

Thought Chelsea were very poor again tonight. So many times Bolton would whip in a decent ball and two Bolton players would be up against one Chelsea player, and the two Bolton players would be in a better position than the CFC one. I think hard work, doing the right things are what's needed when a side is in bad form, and that hard work is sadly lacking.

Up until the 50th minute, with us having roughly 60% possession, I don't think we had come close to threatening the Bolton goal.

Despite what Tony Gale desperately didn't want to see, the Bolton player was playing Drogba on for our goal. The 500 references he made after that to Drogba being offside got slightly annoying.

Think Gale was right about Terry's handball though, we got dead lucky.

Even though we won today, I do wonder whether the Chelsea players want Ancelotti out. I do think that this Chelsea side can get rid of any manager in the world if they don't want to play for him.

The way things have been lately though mate a home win was needed, especially when Arsenal and United dropped points late on and if Bolton had got a win I think they would've went above you. A win was the most important thing and you got it.

Woeful. There's no evidence that this is a transitional period and things might come together. These players can't play in Roy's set up. I mean, for a start play players in there right posistions!

And so you aim towards the sky,
And you'll rise high today,
Fly away, Far away,
Far from pain....

I think the decline of this Chelsea side has been THE big story so far this season.

Its really difficult to pinpoint what exactly has gone wrong....From being an all-powerful side, tearing opposition apart with great football and lots of goals, they have suddenly become a side who more resemble a side which should be flirting with relegation.

I'm sure the LGJM will be able to explain a little into what has gone wrong, but personally I've always thought that the 1 thing Chelsea always had was a strong spine to their team....Cech, Terry, Carvalho, Essien, Lampard & Drogba.

Have injuries, loss of form and a transfer, disrupting that spine, been the main factor or has the Wilkins episode really had such a huge impact??

One thing is for certain, Scolari got fired for less than what Ancelotti is currently enduring....How long before Hiddink is back??

Personally I just think that Ancelotti isn't the amazing coach people make him out to be. I believe he only won one Serie A title (?) with an old squad that stayed old. He's inherited an old squad at Chelsea and doesn't seem to be making a big effort to make it younger. Big difference is an old squad can cut the mustard in a slower paced Italian but won't in the hectic EPL.

Roy's appointment shows up what the farcical sport football is at times. Ran by idiots with no clue of the game; it shows how embarrassing our club has been when people like Purslow have been allowed to appoint a man to run the football side of things.

Fingers crossed the owners have been plotting their new manager since they came, as the time will soon arrive where Roy needs to go, and a week-long search will not be sufficient if we're going to do things strategically and thoughtfully.

As for the team, well, there's only about four or five senior players I would keep, the rest can be sold IMO.

I hope none of your anger is directed at Roy Hodgson? He's gone into arguably the worst Liverpool squad in decades. Bar Reina, Gerrard and Torres (Who doesn't want to be there) there is absolutely no quality there at all. What is he supposed to do? I'd argue they are only three or four spots short of where they should be. Hodgson didn't assemble that pathetic squad, Benitez did.

It won't happen, but if Hodgson was given 3 years he would make them a Champions League team again.

The thing that strikes me about this Liverpool squad is their lack of effort. They were not playing for Benitez. They were sulking and moping and it's continued under Hodgson. There is no real desire at the club, Torres takes the field with a 'Cities of Europe' book tucked under his arm and a mobile phone on 'loud and vibrate' in case a big team gets in touch.

Well Hicks and Gillet can't be blamed seen as they've gone so it must be Hodgson's fault now
