| Quote JWP="JWP"Adam is about ten gazillion times more creative than Henderson is. When I've seen JH, he's played right midfield, so I guess you've signed him to plug that gap and Kenny sees Kuyt up front next season vying with Carroll & Suarez.
If I was Liverpool, I'd pay the 10m for Adam, he created so many chances last season for DJ Campbell - he might not have the 'all round' game that folk talk of, but get his left foot on the ball and he'll create opportunities for people. Let Lucas do the tackling for him. If Liverpool had Adam and Gerrard back fit, they'll then have a goal threat from midfield.'"
Charlie when he's on form, everything he touches turns to gold. When he's not, he just needs to learn to play the ball simple. He also has the ability to drive forward from the midfield, skin a couple of people on the break but also has a tendency to try and take people on from a standing start, losing the ball a lot.
I think myself (and a lot of other B'Pool fans) feel that he needs to improve his consistency no end, but that maybe at a top club he could shift another 1/2 stone, improve his fitness, and get it drilled into him to do the simple thing whilst in his own half. If he can improve his concentration and stop making stupid errors, he could be a real asset to any team.

| Any of the Evertonians on here know anything about this Ross Barkley kid? Tim Cahill has apparently name dropped him in an interview as the most talented player he has ever seen. I must say bar FM, on which he is pants, I've never heard of him. A lot of talk on the internet though about him potentially leaving Everton For United or Arsenal before he's even played for the first team.
Just listened to another lovely radio sports bulletin saying Everton are under pressure as serious bids are expected for Baines, Jagielka, Fellaini and Rodwell over the summer.

I've rarely seen him play tbh mate, only a few clips of his performances but apparently he's outstanding. There was a big piece in the Echo a month or so back where Moyes really bigged him up and said he expects to see him develop in the first team next season. He suffered a double leg break mid way through last season which is probably the main reason you haven't heard much of him, he's fit again now and Moyes has said he'll make his first team debut next season.
Moyes' interview: www.dailypost.co.uk/sport-news/e ... -28596667/
Tipped up last summer as one to watch by the Independant, obviously his injury ended any of those hopes: www.independent.co.uk/sport/foot ... 54638.html

| Utd set for Sanchez talks today apparently, thought he was more of a wide player? If Young is coming along with Nani and Valencia then it would not make much sense, it's a central midfielder we need. Cracking player though, think he will go to City.

Can see Nani going, stepped his game up but still doesn't seem first choice for the big games especially now Valencia's back.
Or maybe Utd weren't expecting Sanchez to be available, so he might be coming instead of Young?

| According to yesterday's Mundo Deportivo Madrid have given up on Sanchez after City offered €36.5 million for him.

Ok, ok - we'll set aside the Liverpool/Man U rivalry and let you have Christian Poulsen...

| Anyone seen Liverpool's new kit for next season? It's like a City kit. Light blue and black on a Liverpool kit! So glad we're getting rid of Adidas, their kits - and general brand image - is abysmal.

| Hey Rob, read in THE SUN that Jovanoivc is on £120,000 a week. I nearly died laughing, surely that's a misprint?

| Kappa would be a sensible and no doubt popular choice.

Alas not.
Worth every penny too.*
