Lot's of room for change in the squad as well, that's IF and a very big IF the signings come off.

I can see De Gae, Jones and Young all signing. The most important one is a central midfielder and right now Snjeider has said he wants to stay put, Nasri may come but I can't see that one happening and Modric is another possiblity but again Spurs want to keep hold.

Modric is available because Mr Levy is a businessman first and foremost and i'm sure THFC will be quite happy to take some more big bucks from MUFC if a realistic offer was put on the table.I hope he stays cos' we need him but money usually talks - Come on you Yids !!!

I think that's bollox. I heard/read he has a clause in his contract that triggers the sale.

I think the owners and maybe Man Utd's lawyers want to know is if the clause means they have to sell him for the clause price if a club offers it, or if a club offers it negotiations can then begin. Did that make sense?

.....I'm no expert, but I don't think you can set a clause price and then, once somebody offers it, decide you want to negotiaite that sum??

Wouldn't that actually just make it a rough estimated value, rather than an actual clause figure?

the article in the telegraph suggests United seem pretty sure that legally they have conformed with the contract and the Venkys don't have a leg to stand on.
