Seriously though, how can anyone even begin to condemn Ferdinand for not shaking Suarez's hand after Suarez snubbed Evra?

Yes he did. The only defence I would offer Ferdinand is that it was instinctive as he was reacting to the Suarez/Evra situation whereas Suarez had a long time to think about what he would do.

Can't believe the media (and forum) hype about this NON incident

A footballer has refused to shake another footballer's hand, NO-ONE'S DIED, NO-ONE'S SHOT THE QUEEN LIVE ON TV.

A non story, in which the media has whipped some sheep into a frenzy.

you're right of course but there are wider implications here

it's just not a case of not shaking a hand,it's the broader implications for the game as a whole, LFC didn't appeal cos' they knew they couldn't win but still feel aggrieved at the decision - the clubs need to get together with the powers that be and get this sorted

Ferdinand was also "considering" whether to shake John Terry's hand last week.

Ferdinand considers the pre match handshake as optional as drug tests and the drink-drive laws.
