Ultimately a great effort by England. They would have been fine if Prior and Collingwood didn't start swinging wildly as soon as they came in. There was no need to panic at that stage, but that's what 2 quick wickets does to a team.

Great game today, both sides will feel they threw it away.

Will stick my head on the block though and say neither of these sides will win the competition....You need a good bowling attack to win a World Cup and neither India or England have that.

One of the best 50 over games I've ever seen in terms of excitement, but we really did throw it away once we took the powerplay.

Yes, Aussies look the value.....As long as Lee, Tait and Johnson keep firing, then they have a big chance.

Pakistan are awful value at 7's.....We all know full well that at some point they will throw in a highly dubious, 'poor' performance and slink out of the tournament under a cloud....

If you are saying that the Aussies are good value at those prices then surely Sri Lanka are even better value considering they are at the same price.
Far far better spinners than the aussies, a better and more balanced batting line-up than the aussies, home advantage for most of the comp and in Malinga someone who can win a game, quite literally, in one over.
I backed them beforehand and haven't seen anything from anyone to change my mind.
