Adebayor is facing a three-match ban for violent conduct for the incident involving Robin van Persie, while the City striker is likely to face an additional punishment for the celebration that followed his goal in the 4-2 win.

"The Football Association today issued two charges against Manchester City's Emmanuel Adebayor following Saturday's Premier League fixture between Manchester City and Arsenal.
"Under the fast-track disciplinary process, Adebayor has been charged with violent conduct following an incident with Robin van Persie, which resulted in the Arsenal player receiving facial injuries.
"Referee Mark Clattenburg has advised the FA that he did not see this incident, but has confirmed that had he done so, he would have sent Adebayor off for violent conduct. The player has until 6pm on Wednesday evening to respond to the charge.
"Adebayor has also been charged with improper conduct following his actions when turning and running the full length of the pitch to celebrate in front of the Arsenal supporters after scoring.
"The Greater Manchester Police have written to The FA with their views on this incident. A separate date will now be arranged for a commission to consider Adebayor's goal celebration."
I see Clattenberg now claims he didn't see the incident with Van Persie and he would have sent him off if he had. He was five yards away staring straight at them with a perfectly unobstructed view.
He's only just got his job back. I doubt he wants to rock the boat with the FA. It's sad to be honest, as I thought he had an excellent game. One of the best refereeing performances of the season IMO.
Let's talk proper football now, big champions league week ahead with Inter v Barca being the pick of the games. I fancy Inter to win it this year as they have recruited well in Eto'o, Sneijder, Motta, Lucio and Milito. Eto'o gives them that touch of class up front which they were lacking previously.
Talking of racism, managed to speak to a mate of mine over the weekend and he tells me that Everton's official forums have been shut down due to racism on there. Can't say I'm surprised , Jo and Saha were those targeted.

Both Milito and Eto'o scored at the weekend. Eto'o's was a cracker.
He told me it had been shut down, the blue room or something, but he didn't know why. But he'd spoken to a few bluenose mates and he said they'd shut it down during or after the Burnley game, because a poster on there made a thread calling Jo and Saha slaves or something disgraceful. He said not long after it was closed due to people abusing the forum or something.

Is Sneijder fit? He was stretchered off for the Oranje t'other week. Anyway, I think this will go either way, either Inter will pull it off or they'll get ruined by Barca.
I think the Milito/Eto'o partnership will trouble Barca a lot, they have an industrious midfield that will have to do their best to shut Barca down. Should be good, I think Barca will win myself, 2-0, Henry double.

A poster? So one nobheed getting hold of a computer means Everton fans are racist?

Deary me. Wouldn't suprise me tbh, we could win the league, Europa league, FA Cup, Carling Cup this season and if you went on Bluekipper people would still find things to moan or blame Moyes for. I don't bother with the Everton forums, if you're ever depressed never use them or you will have committed suicide after two threads, they are that bad. Jo doesn't look great this year but how people can argue with Saha i'll never know, yes he missed a pen against Burnley but he has been great this season so far. Anyway, both will be second choice to Yakubu shortly when he is fully fit.
