I actually think you're picking the wrong player to gloat about. Rooney was generally ineffective and didn't trouble us much. Valencia was your best player and everything good about your play came through him. Rooney profited from a couple of mistakes and good play from Valencia, he took his chances well, but you should be gloating about Valencia IMO, as his performance was head and shoulders above most of your other players, who I felt didn't muster up anything more than above average.

| Some really good football from United but slackened off allowing Liverpool back into the game. Poor defending made for an unnecessarily nervy last ten minutes. I thought Evans had one of his bi-annual great games while Scholes and Carrick were more than comfortable in the middle. It's great to see Valencia when he's confident and he was outstanding today. He did really well to nick the ball of little Jay Spearing to set-up Rooney's second. Rooney and Welbeck impressed up front and maybe should have had another couple between them. Another blinding save by De Gea in the dying minutes of a big game, but I'd imagine the knockers will conveniently ignore that and climb back in their boxes until the next time he makes a mistake.
Great to see Spearing, Henderson and Ferdinand doing their bit to build bridges by playing their part in the build-up of opposition goals.

| Quote Roddy B="Roddy B"You can, though. The conversation was in Spanish, have you ever spoken Spanish? You must know full well that the word clearly doesn't mean the same slur like it is in our language. I don't need to debate the merits of the word, the 'experts' at the committee said it wouldn't be seen as racist without a harsh adjective stuck in there. If they say what he said isn't racist, then who are we to disagree with people allegedly in a much stronger position than us to comment? If we're basing things purely off what Suarez has admitted to, then it could have been dealt with by a "I didn't mean that, sorry if you took it that way, but I meant it this way", but then that's a completely different situation and accusation to what's really happened.'"
It is the very same experts who state that the word is deemed offensive to some of the black population in Uruguay.

| Doesn't matter what it means in Uruguay. If it meant "I love fluffy puppies" it still wouldn't matter.
If you go to a country and say a word that means something bad in that country, it's still offensive, whether you knew about it or not. And the fact you shouted it when wound up speaks volumes.

I find it strange that Suarez use of the word 'negro' was mis-translated by both a dutch speaker (Kuyt) and a French speaker (Commoli), which resulted in Suarez attempting to change his story. Surely even you must admit that the chances of this happening are quite slim?
I think people are forgetting that Suarez wasn't charged with being a racist, but using a racist term. There is quite a difference here. Suarez defence that he used the term 'negro' as banter in the middle of a heated confrontation during a Liverpool vs Utd game is quite laughable really. If the person in question (Evra) finds it offensive, then I'm not sure how Suarez can try and defend it to be honest.
Thoughts on today: Could've been about 4-0 if Utd had carried on playing. Attempting to sit back on the 2-0 lead almost cost us in the last 10 minutes.
In other news, police decided to seize all red issue for fanzines for inciting racial hatred. This was the 'offending' item:

Anyone offended?

Cantona lashed out at someone, for calling him a 'a french mother******' , I think we've established the two clubs have different positions on racism, the club banned him for 4 months as they thought it was probably not the right thing for one of their players to do, the FA then extended it for several more months, and i don't think we've whined about it constantly ever since #justiceforeric #whocanweblame
Plenty of people have their own opinion on the actions of the players you mention, its not the same as some mind control cult where everyone tows the party line regardless

They already have. They said on the Sky coverage that the view on it from the Liverpool dressing room was that Evra caused it by offering his hand then pulling it away at the last minute and that Suarez was a victim of a false allegation of refusing a handshake. Then Gary Neville said that this highlighted one of the benefits of Sky's coverage, that there are 40 million cameras everywhere and that they didn't lie.
