fact is mate, they have done all this before in the late 70's early 80's, and the ended up in the old 3rd division. everton are a good example of a club living within their means, and the proof that moyes is an excellent manager.
Fair point. I like Everton as a club - the fans are a different story all together, but that's another debate. Moyes has done a magnificent job, there's no doubt, with a limited budget.
I've not seen one City fan dispute the facts you've raised. The reason this debate started was a comment from a seemingly jealous Everton fan. He was having a go at City and their fans for getting excitable and ahead of themselves. It's what the do and always have done - it's just that this time there's a bit a of substance behind their excitment, and some fans are getting twitchy about it. This is a club who bought Lee Bradbury and built him up to be the next Maradona. I was told Dickson Etuhu was the next Patrick Vieira by one City fan. Their greatest ever player in the prem ended up in the Ajax reserves. Now they are linked with top tier stars and they are a genuine threat to the top 4, which is a position which Everton, Villa and the would like to be too.
